Training On “Result Based Monitoring & Evaluation for Biodiversity”
Enhance institutional biodiversity capacity with our Results-Based Monitoring & Evaluation program in Bangkok. Learn indicator design, NBSAP monitoring, KMGBF alignment, RBM frameworks, CHM systems, and field-based biodiversity assessment.
Globally, the effective implementation of biodiversity commitments under the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KMGBF) depends on strong, evidence-based Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) systems. National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAPs) serve as the central policy frameworks guiding conservation action and sustainable use of biological resources. However, despite ambitious biodiversity targets, many countries face similar challenges — weak data systems, limited analytical capacity, and insufficient integration of M&E into policy and planning. A Results-Based Monitoring and Evaluation (RBM&E) approach bridges these gaps, providing a structured system to track progress, assess impact, and support adaptive management.
This program builds professional competence in designing, managing, and evaluating biodiversity strategies using results-based frameworks, ensuring accountability, transparency, and measurable outcomes aligned with both national and global biodiversity goals.
CTB Thailand’s Immersive & Highly Practical Training on “Result-Based Monitoring & Evaluation for Biodiversity” is well designed to equip biodiversity planners, environmental managers, M&E specialists, data analysts, and policy professionals with the knowledge and practical tools to design and implement effective monitoring systems, evaluate biodiversity outcomes, enhance institutional accountability, and apply results-based management (RBM) principles within national biodiversity frameworks. Participants will explore results-based planning frameworks, biodiversity indicator design, evaluation methodologies, CHM and GIS-based data systems, BIOFIN and SEEA financial tracking tools, and evidence-based reporting aligned with the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (KMGBF) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — all aimed at strengthening biodiversity performance and governance systems.
Through our participant-focused & “Professional Only” training methodologies — including interactive workshops, knowledge exchange sessions, data visualization labs, and real-world biodiversity case simulations — the program ensures an engaging and outcome-oriented learning experience. Professionals will strengthen their capacity to monitor biodiversity progress, evaluate ecosystem results, align with global biodiversity standards, and apply adaptive management for policy improvement. By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with actionable strategies to institutionalize M&E systems, enhance evidence-based biodiversity reporting, and improve organizational performa
